We’re hiring.

We’re seeking experienced monitors to join our welfare team. Available party shifts are bi-weekly and can range from 4.5-8 hours depending on availability. 

Applicants must be willing to work until 12.30am on Sundays in Elephant and Castle. For those on rota till the end of a shift, Joyride will reimburse up to 50% of a Taxi home. 

All successful applicants will receive an onboarding session that covers Joyride policies and best practices. POC, queer, trans and disabled candidates will be prioritised.  

Responsibilities:

  • Providing support and assistance to Joyride attendees

  • Being proactive in identifying and mitigating any potential harms

  • Escalating any and all issues to the shift Production Manager 

  • Liaising with security and staff, the on-site medic and the rest of the welfare team to ensure effective communication at the party

  • Being a friendly and approachable presence 

Experience/Skills: 

Essential: 

  • Proactive and calm under pressure

  • Great communication skills

  • Commitment to representation and diversity within the events sector, particularly for the queer community 

  • Knowledge of BDSM frameworks

Desirable

  • Previous welfare/monitor experience in the nightlife sector 

  • Training in: First Aid, Welfare 

Pay: £14.20 p/h
